Bolton Academy PTA

The Bolton Academy PTA is a group of parents, teachers and community members that support Bolton Academy.  The purposes of the PTA are to promote the welfare of children, raise the standards of home life, secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children, and to enhance the relationship between home and school. 

Participating in PTA activities not only enriches the school, but also provides opportunities for parents, teachers and students to become better acquainted. Involved parents and community members make the difference between a good school and a great school.

Dues to join the PTA each year are $10 per person.  Last year the monies from PTA dues and PTA fundraisers enabled fellowship and family events such as Fall Festival, BINGO Night, Drop Everything and Read, Parent/Teacher Basketball Game, Pre-K and Kindergarten Carnival, and Ice Cream Social.  The funds also were allocated to purchase items to incorporate the International Baccalaureate (IB) feel throughout the school, purchase items for Teacher Appreciation Week, pay for lunches during the IB Authorization Visit, pay for teachers to attend the Teacher of the Year Banquet, and provide refreshments for Field Day and Cinco de Mayo.  In addition, the funds were used to purchase awards to highlight student success for the Accelerated Reader Character Day, Math Competition and Talent Show.
